So, you are going to struggle a little, as you need to spend at least some money to get you started in the world of dropshipping business.
You have 2 options to get started:
Option #1 - Shopify
This method is technically free..at least for 14 days
- Sign up to a Shopify store (you get 14 days free..as a trial, so technically it is free)
- Sign yourself up to Oberlo - this is a dropshipping application that allows you to get products from places like AliExpress and import them into your new online store
- Next step you will need to find a way of getting people to find your product/store - a free method would be to help people on forums or Facebook groups and then linking them to products in your store.
- The other option is create a blog and start fixing problems for people and then ensuring your SEO for your blog is awesome, so people find the blog posts and then link through to your products for sale.
You are going to need a domain name, and this will cost you money..
I’d recommend either Namecheap or Godaddy to find and register your perfect domain name.
If you decide to go with Shopify, I would recommend looking at investing in a premium theme, but only after you have started making money.
Option #2 - WordPress + WooCommerce
This method does cost money, but may save you money in the long run
- As with method 1, you will need a domain name (URL) so find one related to the niche you want to go with
- You will need to get yourself hosting, I would go for someone like BlueHost - They offer cheap hosting so at least saving some money
- Using them, download or install WordPress and WooCommerce plugin
- So again this is where money does become involved, you will need an app to help you with this, and your best bet is to check out AliDropShip. This theme/app will cost you money as a one off, but at least saves you on the monthly cost that Shopify costs you
- Again, you will need to follow method 1 for finding ways of getting people to your products/store - WordPress does allow the blogging part to be a lot easier!
At the end of the day, dropShipping cannot be 100% free..it will always cost you some money, but it is a relatively low market entry cost!
