How much can average people earn on Amazon FBA?

I am not sure about the average for FBA nowadays but I can share my experience.

I really don’t consider myself above average. 3 years ago I had no experience with e-commerce, running a business or selling on Amazon. I just had a goal and a $10k loan.

Now I am making $19k profit a month. I don’t know if I have been lucky, since I have had my fair share of FBA fails as well. I honestly anyone who is willing to put in the work is able to do this. And here is why:

All the info you need is out there for free! but it takes time to discover.

Literally everything you need to know about running a FBA business you can find for free. Plenty of free FBA guides, blogs, podcasts, forums, videos etc.

So I start reading all the info that was out there. And I was serious about this. I was listing to podcasts on my commute and reading FBA forums on the toilet.

Over the last 3 years I have compiled the main points you need to look for when picking a product to sell on Amazon:

  • $15 + Sales price
  • High Demand - at least $3000 revenue per month for competitors in my niche.
  • Low Competition - the competition should have around 50 reviews or less.
  • Easy to manufacture product
  • Healthy Profit Margin - profit margin should be at least 33% of the sales price. So I want to make at least $1k per month on this product
  • High Demand - at least $3000 revenue per month for competitors in my niche.

These are the main points, but of course it goes a lot deeper.
